りん青銅は、「線」と「板」で、JISの規格が少し異なります

りん青銅は、カタカナ表記で「リン青銅」、または漢字で「燐青銅」とも表記されますが、JIS規格では「りん青銅」とひらがな表記です。 銅+すず+りんの三元合金である「りん青銅」は、「線」と「板」で、JISの規格が少し異なります。 まず「線」ですが、意外なことに「ばね用りん青銅線」の規格がありません。 ただの「りん青銅線」しかないのです。 ですから、規格上は「りん青銅線」を熱処理して硬度を上げ、「ばね用」として用いていることになります。 一方「板」の場合は、「りん青銅板」と「ばね用りん青銅板」の両方があります。 「りん青銅板」に矯正や熱処理を施して、「ばね用」として十分な硬さや平面度を付与したものが、「ばね用りん青銅板」です。 ただの「りん青銅」と「ばね用りん青銅」の違いは、熱処理の有無と考えていいようです。 りん青銅「線」は、写真のようにコイル巻きの状態で納入され、それを私たちメーカーがバネ成形します。 もし、このコイルの状態で熱処理してあったら、加工性が悪くなるだけで、何らメリットがありません。 「りん青銅線」に「ばね用~」の規格が無いのは、恐らくそれが理由だと思います。
